Inb4 Forever alone.

wut?

I'm sure Hallmark, inventor of the holiday, would agree with the consumer aspect of your treatise.
The best Val's Day gifts I ever gave, were simple and hand made things you use everyday.
Love is about seizing every moment of joy, because once it's gone, you can never have it the same way again. It's also one of the few things you can take with you when you're done living.

Love is something that cannot be defined we all have a meaning to the word "love".
So it's impossible.
Wow you just read my mind because that's how I feel right now.
"Because once it's gone, you can never have it the same way"
thanks ^ ^ for contributing!

I disagree with that last part.

You and Asandir should get married.

I don't know him.

I usually celebrate the holiday in reference to my girlfriend but I do find my self in a more loving, less hostile mood. It's weird for dudes, but I think general reminders that we are supposed to love each other are helpful. Love for your fellow man is the most natural emotion there is.

Well it is weird for men, due to the fact that woman are more sensitive and express more emotion.
Honestly why can't boys just let go of all their problems and express their feelings within themselves.
But oh well.. thats just me ^-^...

Quit saying you don't know Asandir. I know you do. Everbody knows Asandir D:<

Honestly I don't LOL.

Because its weird. There's pride and fear involved. I try not to be like that and show.my emotions. But its ......its just weird.

I respect that you need to maintain a reputation, but doesn't it feel better when you let out all your problems and no one but your girlfriend understands you?

It's crazy how valentines day has completely changed in meaning since it was started, from a religious title to a celebration between lovers. It's what I like the holiday, interesting backstory.

I have to say though, valentines is a hard day to express love towards everyone in general when you're alone on the day, it's like a 24 hour reminder that this year on valentines, you don't have a date :(

Yeah, but it's easier to give chocolates or gifts to your opposite gender~
It's pretty normal and of course a girl will like it c:~!
Honestly if you gave me a rose or a hug a would totally accept your loving gesture :3!

Valentine's Day is a worldwide excuse to get sex, if you ask me.

For some people it is romantic to express love that way.

Will you be my Valentine? ;_____________________;
<3

of course c: <3~
to bad it's over though xD

You say you love everyone...so that means you love me right??? :333333333

c: of course; I love you<3 you're my biffle.

Whoa, did you time travel? :D

:D yup.

Too bad valentines day was two fucking weeks ago

I KNOW RIGHT...?
I could have expressed it all to everyone with a thread..

I have a large, blonde girl-friend that used to buy two dozen roses and hand them out to random people. She's a white Wiccan witch (secular) too. Also loves ponies and pets.
Or. Am I being stereotypical?

I'm sorry are you ok xD?
I stopped reading this seriously when I got to wiccan witch lol.

How is this relevant hun?
you better be getting some sleep!

your post was boring and generic :x

Well others liked it~ Because they understand.
maybe you should read it like others do, and take it positively.

I'd give someone a hug and a rose for a gesture, suuure, but I would love something manly and a hug back :p
(I say something manly, as I right now I can't think of anything manly)

LOL, I didn't know hugs were manly-like, but sure that works.
Hugs demonstrate good feelings for one another and comfort!
I love the hugs that last about 1~3minutes lol.

Valentine's day was invented by the Hallmark card company, because they had no significant card sales between Christmas and Easter. It was started solely as a guilt-tripping exercise to get people to buy cards and shit for their loved ones, just so they could stay in business. Unlike Christmas or Easter, it never had any religious roots or deeper meaning than what it has today; it is, and always was, a hollow marketing exercise that somehow stuck in public mentality.

Yes, it really is that shallow. Loved one or not, the whole thing's a load of disingenuous crap.

Lol, you can view it that way.
everyone has their own views on Valentines Day.
In our generation its just a celebration (mostly) with our loved ones ^ ^~

People who hate Valentines Day suck. Its like the best day of the year. My chick and I had a good one this year.

People who hate Valentines probably have never been loved, or shown affection that's why I show everyone affection and understanding.~

I'm also glad you and your girlfriend are having a great time! how long have you been together c:?

Stop being so beautiful.

I'm being beautiful?
sorry I didn't notice.. :c

Just another arbitrary and pretentious as fuck holiday.

People should behave as such ALL FUCKING YEAR, but I digress.

If you did not read.
It's just a reminder when you're in a relationship.

Pardon me, but some of us don't have deceased feelings.
So we express them in that holiday for others.

Not saying you don't have feelings, but it seems like something during your pretentious life is making you hate this holiday.
