I don't celebrate holidays. No, it would be more accurate to say that I don't usually hold any day in higher esteem than any other. This is especially true for fixed holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas and others of the sort.
Holidays are just a reminder to a historic or made up bonding day.
It does not do any harm. In fact it only reminds us and makes us closer with one another.
Of course you can say "it's just a day" but for some people it means more then that.
